Walk for Wishes is a 5k and Fun Walk where participants, wish kids and volunteers take big strides to make more wishes come true. Every dollar raised from this fun-filled event will go to fulfilling the wishes of North Texas children. (If you’re unfamiliar with what Make-A-Wish does, visit their website: )

I wanted to put this information on my blog because Make-A-Wish is an organization I care deeply about. Ever since I was a Make-A-Wish intern during the summer of 2009, I’ve been looking for a way to get involved again and Walk for Wishes seemed to be the perfect opportunity.

So how can you help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening conditions? It’s easy!

1. Get a group of friends or family together to walk for wishes! All the registration information is on the Walk for Wishes website. Prizes are given to the top fundraising groups as well as individuals. Even if you are unable to attend the event, you can still fundraise online by signing up as a Virtual Participant.

2. Walk for Wishes is the perfect opportunity for your company to get involved with Make-A-Wish! Companies want to support a cause that their employees can be engaged with and this event is it. They can become a sponsor, put together a team of employees and most importantly come together to support a great cause.

4. You can make a donation on my personal fundraising page! Any gift is appreciated and collectively, makes a big difference. Donate here.

The event is April 6, 2013 at Williams Square in Irving, TX so there’s no better time than now to consider how you could participate. I hope to see you there!

Not too long ago I let you know that I was excited to be a part of Issue 1 of LPF Magazine. Well now Issue 2 is here and I think you’re going to love it. LPF Magazine is a collaborative online magazine, started by very talented blogger Lauren, aka La Petite Fashionista. She went above and beyond for the second issue and I love how it turned out. Check out page 74 for my yoga tips and page 88 for my “Sweater Weather” tunes. Here are some of my favorites in the issue:

The Savvy Girl’s Guide to Finance

DIY Beer Tasting Party

Winter Beauty Essentials
